Keira’s favourite part of coaching is watching the athletes grow, both in skill development and confidence. Outside the gym, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing oboe in the Terrace Community Band.

Every day is a chance to play, laugh, and learn alongside the athletes while watching them achieve their goals. When Jaz is not at the gym, she is exploring new places, climbing mountains, and camping with her family.

Boby has been coaching for over 10 years. She was a competitive gymnast at Terrace Peaks until she was 13 and came back to be a coach at age 22. She likes to use gymnastics to give people a better understanding of their bodies and allow them to find confidence and success through the sport. Her favourite events are Bars and Floor. You can find Boby outside the gym hanging out with her dog, Nahanni, and doing almost any outdoor activity. She travels to Haida Gwaii to teach gymnastics every year.

Ashley Hope | Birthday Party & Recreational Coach
GF Artistic certified; Comp 1 WAG certified

Ashley has been coaching for over 25 years, having begun at the age of 13. A former provincial-level competitive gymnast, she brings a deep understanding of the sport and a strong passion for helping athletes grow. Coaching continues to energize her, and she loves guiding gymnasts toward achieving their goals and mastering new skills. In addition to her work in the gym, all of her coaching hours are paid into a special fund that helps local lower-income families access programs at Terrace Peaks Peaks. Families who believe they may qualify are encouraged to inquire at the gym to explore how this support can help their young gymnasts participate in upcoming programs.

Carissa Sadlo | Birthday Party, Recreational & Invitational Sub

With nearly seven years of coaching experience since 2018, Carissa brings a dynamic background in dance, dirt biking, and softball to their gymnastics coaching. Their passion lies in watching young gymnasts light up with excitement as they reach their goals through hard work and dedication, a moment they find deeply rewarding. Known for their energetic and engaging approach, Carissa adds a unique spark to the gym, whether it’s sharing fun facts like trying ketchup for the first time at 18 or recalling how they learned to do a back-tuck by launching off the back of a speeding boat.

Cora Thomson | Recreational Coach

Cora has been coaching for about a year and a half and brings a passion for helping young athletes grow and succeed. With a background in ringette and soccer, volleyball has always been her favorite sport to play. Outside the gym, she’s a licensed glider pilot and has plans to pursue a career as a helicopter pilot locally.

Maddie became a Coach in Training (CIT) in 2018 and was certified in 2019. Her passion for gymnastics started long before coaching. Growing up, she was blessed enough to be in gymnastics and dance, both of which contributed to her artistic passions. She loves watching athletes grow in the sport and gain new skills. Encouragement and optimism are very important to her in helping participants reach their goals. A fun fact about Maddie is that she struggles with mental blocks, particularly with backward skills, which helps her understand some of the barriers athletes may experience.

Sage Peters | Recreational & Invitational Coach

Sage has been coaching gymnastics for four years, building on a strong foundation of experience that began with four years of competitive gymnastics and a lifelong involvement in recreational gymnastics. Her passion for the sport started early, practically from the moment she could walk. What Sage loves most about coaching is witnessing young athletes grow not only in their gymnastics skills but also as individuals. Seeing kids develop into kind, capable human beings and knowing she played a part in that journey is what truly warms her heart. Outside the gym, Sage enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, and swimming, and also has a strong love for cooking.
