Subsidy

Need assistance to help pay for programs?  Here are a few different financial aid options and their links that might help out families.

KidSport

KidSport provides grants to children and youth (5 to 18 years of age) facing financial obstacles so that they can participate in registered sports programs led by qualified instructors. KidSport supports social and economic barriers facing the child’s family when determining eligibility, such as families that are low-income, unemployed, or currently receiving income support through the provincial government. KidSport meets on the 20th of each month to review applications and approve them. Once they approve your application, they will notify you via email.

JumpStart

JumpStart is a registered charity that supports children and youth, from financially disadvantaged families, to allow them to participate in organized sports and physical activity. JumpStart understands the important life benefits that participation in such activities can have on a child’s life. It offers funds through a Canada-wide network of Chapters and Community Partners.

Jordan’s Principle

Jordan’s Principle makes sure all First Nations children living in Canada can access the products, services, and support they need when they need them. Funding can help with a wide range of health, social, and educational needs, including the unique needs that First Nations Two-Spirit and LGBTQQIA children and youth and those with disabilities may have. Jordan’s Principle is named in memory of Jordan River Anderson. He was a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba.
