The Riverboat Days Parade is Saturday, August 3, 2024! After 5 years away, we are excited to be joining the parade again and we hope that you will join us!
Who: Any and all TPGC members (parents will need to participate with any athlete 8 years old or younger).
When: Saturday, August 3. Meet at 10:00 am, parade starts at 11:00 am.
What: This year, we will have a float. Members can walk behind the float or sit on the float. We will be decorating the float with hand prints. If you would like to include your handprint, please bring them down to the gym Monday-Friday 9 am-3 pm from now until August 2. We will also have paper and paint available if you wish to do your handprint here.
Please wear your TPGC team suit if you have one or a blue top, black shorts or pants, and runners (no sandals). If you want to do cartwheels or handstands, please wear gloves to protect your hands. Don’t forget to bring water and sunscreen. Please check the forecast and make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing.
Where: The parade starts at City Hall on Lakelse Avenue and travels east to end at the Legion. We will be meeting somewhere along Park Avenue. Parade officials will give us the exact location on the day of the parade. Please ask a parade volunteer for the Terrace Peaks meeting location or check out our Facebook page as we will update our location there. Please pick up on Aspley Street near the Legion at the end of the parade around noon.
